RSC President James L. Meader, who served from 1929-1942, gives an address at the dedication of Court Lafayette. Meader speaks into a broadcast microphone bearing the call numbers of local radio station, WTRY. Seated to the left of Meader are Blanche Tinnerholm and Eric Barnes. Seated to the right of Meader are an unnamed clergyman and the French Ambassador to the United States, Comte Rene Doynell de Saint-Quentin. Court Lafayette, a courtyard on RSC's campus, was dedicated by the French ambassador on April 27, 1940, to the memory of Louise Bontecoli Cluett Cowee.
